Ultimately, my teaching practice aims at scaffolding the transformation of the student into a self-directed, lifelong learner who consciously adopts the scientific method to contribute ethically to our society. The current higher education landscape prompts me to design an educational experience that responds to:

I have piloted a studio physics classroom for life sciences students that uses physical and virtual manipulatives. The course re-design weaves three main strategies:

My goal is to catalyze students’ active involvement in their physics learning, foster their agency and creativity, and shape their disciplinary identity. The teaching modality I use focuses on an adapted version of Just In Time Teaching, interactive examples, in-class discussions, and staggered projects (including “essays”).
